Punjab National Bank (Q, N,C,F)* has hiked interest rates on Foreign Currency Non-Resident Bank deposits in US dollar, Pound, Euro, Australian Dollar and Canadian dollar with effect from March 29. Interest rate on US dollar has been hiked to 5.15 per cent (from 4.9) for 1-2 years and to 5.13 per cent (4.88) for 2-3 years, PNB said in a release. The rate of interest is hiked to 5.11 per cent for 3-4 years, 4-5 years and 5 years only US dollar deposits. Interest rate was raised for Pound deposits to 4.67 per cent for 1-2 years, to 4.71 per cent for 2-3 years, to 4.73 per cent for 3-4 years and to 4.72 per cent for 4-5 years. The rate of interest on five year Pound deposits is set at 4.7 per cent.
