Pensioners’ problems to be settled soon: Gabria

Punjab’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Hira Singh Gabria Jails has assured that all genuine problems the state government pensioners would be discussed at the higher forum and would be settled at the earliest.

Gabria was addressing the pensioners at a function organised by Local Bodies Pensioners’ Association to honor him at the Pensioner’s Bhawan here today.

Gabria said Chief Minster Parkash Singh Badal had already initiated the process of implementing all the promises made to the people in the manifesto during the elections and the demands of the employees and pensioners were also under due consideration.

He said he had great respect for the pensioners of Ludhiana city, as during his political career spanning decades, all of them had with cooperated him during their serving period in solving the problems. He said whenever he had visited any office in the past, the employees had given him tremendous respect.

The Minster said the services of the pensioners could be utilised in checking the assessments and estimates for various development project, as these former employees had a lot of experience. He said the new government would accord priority to implement all the promises made to the people in the manifesto during the recent elections.

The Minister assured the pensioners that they could meet him at any time regarding any problem. He also assured sufficient grant out of his discretionary quota after the Budget was passed.
