Punjab farmers using liquor as pesticide

Believe it or not, farmers in Faridkot district of Punjab are using countrymade liquor as pesticide to get better production from their crops.

The channel sources said that use of liquor is not only cheap; it also gives better results.

According to the farmers, spraying one litre of liquor mixed with 80 litres of water shows a difference in their crops within a fortnight.

But farm scientists ridicule the claim of farmers. According to them, there is no evidence that spraying the crops with alcohol produces a better yield.

It is known that Punjab is an agricultural state where wheat is produced in huge quantity.
