India’s comprehensive victory against Australia in the Mohali Test today provided the perfect occasion for celebration on a day when there was despair in Parliament, Union minister Kapil Sibal said.
“On the one hand, there is despair as the House is not being allowed to run…This is a matter of celebration that India defeated Australia by a record margin,” the Science and Technology Minister told reporters outside Parliament.
To a poser on Saurav Ganguly’s decision to call it a day, he said it was a personal decision.
“He has shown that he can score a century at this age, that too against Australians,” Sibal said.
