In a late night violence in Mohali, a young realtor was shot at after being abducted from phase 3B2 here.
Property dispute was cited the reason behind the firing.
Gulraj Singh Randhawa, 25, sustained a bullet injury in his left thigh, Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) at Mohali Civil Hospital Jasdeep Kaur told PTI.
She said the bullet pierced through his thigh, which was bleeding profusely when the victim was brought at the hospital around 10.20 pm. “His condition is stable and is kept under observation after dressing of the wound,” the EO disclosed.
Randhawa said he, along with his cousin Jai Singh Cheema and friend Manmandir, was having a stroll near the Hanuman temple in phase 3B2 when a black Tata Safari halted near them.
“Two unknown persons alighted from the SUV and after calling me Veerji took me aside from my cousin and friend,” the injured realtor told PTI.
He recalled that after taking him for a short distance, a person, whom he identified as a resident of Sector 2, Panchkula, also appeared on the scene and put a pistol on his temple before bundling him into the SUV, which was driven by another unknown person.
