Subham scripts Panchkula XI’s win

A blistering century by Subham Rana guaranteed District Cricket Association of Panchkula an 86-run win over DCF, Delhi during the 8th Hot Weather Cricket Tournament currently at the Military Grounds here on Tuesday.

Winning the toss DCAP chose to bat first and further went on to pile up a total of 229 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 40 overs.

Apart from Subham Ankush scored 52 runs while for DCF XI Niladhri did a fine job as he scalped three wickets for 31 runs and Rohit who ended with 3 for 29. However, the rest of the bowling attack failed to curtail the DCAP batting lineup and proved expense.

Chasing, DCF XI were cleared out for 143 runs in 31.4 overs. Punit was the highest scorer with 34 runs while Niladhri supported him well with 25 runs.

In another encounter played in the YPS grounds DMW XI thrashed National Institute of Cricket and Sports (NICS) XI by 96 runs.
