CHANDIGARH-based IT company Universal Cyber Infoway Pvt Ltd (UCIPL) is all set to expand the operations of its call centre, KallDesk, in the US. It is the first call centre from the city to set up an office abroad. KallDesk will be establishing a marketing division in the state of North Carolina, US. Set up with an initial investment of around US$15,000, the aim is to bring targeted work to the company’s call centre and business process outsourcing (BPO) unit.
Plans are underway to acquire a call centre/BPO unit in the US. CEO Anuj Mahajan said the US office would help solve a number of legal hassles regarding enforceability of contracts, data confidentiality, payments etc.
