CBI witness in Harpreet Kaur murder case turns hostile

One of the witnesses, Darshan Yadav of Sirhind, of CBI in the infamous Harpreet Kaur murder case Friday turned hostile as he has failed to recognise the photo of Harpreet Kuar nee Rozy in the court of additional session judge Bhupinder Singh here.

Darshan Yadav had appeared in the court in the capacity of a witness, who had earlier claimed that he had seen Harpreet Kaur making call from a PCO of Sirhind.

Satnam Singh Kler, counsel for Bibi Jagir Kaur, said that the witness could not recollect the event and did not identify th photo of Harpreet Kaur.

The cross examination of Piara Singh of Amritsar and Amarnath Gosain the other witnesses will continue tomorrow, September 30.

A case was mureder registered against Bibi Jagir Kaur and her associates Dalwinder Kaur Dhesi, Sanjiv Kumar, Satya, Paramjit Raipur, Harwinder Singh and Nishan Singh by the CBI under Section of the IPC 120b, 313, 344, 365, 302 & 201 for conspiring to kill Harpreet Kaur.

The defence team comprising Mr N.P.S. Waraich and Mr S.S. Kler, will cross examine Ravi Kumar on March 31, the date fixed for next hearing.
